Overview[]
The 'SIAS' Helmet, or the 'Sealed Internal Air Supply' Helmet, is a commonly fielded and utilised piece of equipment designed for various troops within the Galactic Imperium. These Helmets were originally used for the elite Imperial unit known as the Wasps. However, after the Shift they have been incorporated into countless arsenals and squads throughout the Imperium's military.
History[]
The original SIAS Helmet prototype was created by Cross Industries in 2065, not long after the company's foundation. Its original purpose was to provide the wearer with a fully enclosed and sealed air supply and filtration system, which would prove extremely beneficial to individuals who operated in toxic environments.
However, the patent and the helmet's design was eventually sold to the electronics company Verituso, who streamlined the helmet's configuration as well as adding a number of devices within. These included a Heads-Up Display, internal communicator and radio, a GPS and several safety measures in case the helmet's seal was breached.

After the founding of the Galactic Imperium in 2080, Verituso sold the devices to the faction, who immediately designated their use within the ranks of the Wasps. As these troops often operated in high-altitude environments, and the helmet's sleek design improving overall aerodynamics, they were a perfect fit.
After the Shift, the helmets slowly began to filter through to a number of other Imperium forces throughout the new system. One of note were the Slag Troopers of Rerador, who found them highly useful due to the moon's poisonous atmosphere. Still, it is not uncommon to see regular troopers wearing the helmets, especially ones stationed in hazardous environments.
Features[]
The SIAS Helmets are not exactly cheap to produce. However, the cost is well worth it, as they come equipped with a variety of devices and features. These include:
- A fully sealed internal air supply of up to an hour, allowing the user to survive the vacuum of space for a short time.
- A filtration system capable of filtering most toxic atmospheres or environments across System 54, refilling the air supply.
- A customisable Heads Up Display
- Internal communicators and Radio
- A GPS system
- Security measures that will activate in case of a breach, sealing the hole with hardening foam, allowing the wearer to escape to safety
Variants[]

Trojan Guard[]
The Trojan Guard wear a modified version of the SIAS helmets, designed by Verituso to be both intimidating and patriotic. Their specific variant of the helmet is completely blue and includes additional audio and visual enhancement equipment, designed to scan environments for external threats.
The helmet also features a mounting for the red plume typically worn by the Guard's Captain.
Notable Users[]
- Jakor famously sports a modded SIAS Helmet, stolen from the Imperium during his youth.
- The assassin known as Darkblade wears a modified SIAS Helmet, painted in darker colours to match his chosen aesthetic.
